Register to Vote, Get Informed and Engaged, and Vote!
Participate in the 2018 Spring Election! If you have moved since the last election, have changed your signature, or wish to change your party affiliation, you must re-register using your current address to ensure your ballot will reach you. It is not legal for anyone, including the post office, to forward your ballot. We hope that you will participate in the democratic process if you are able. In order to vote in the election on May 15th, you must register by Tuesday, April 24th.
Voter registration cards are available from the Associated Students of Oregon State University in the Student Experience Center (SEC) Room 250, Center for Civic Engagement (SEC 206), and the Memorial Union express stop. You may also register to vote online at the Oregon Secretary of State website.
Students may register to vote using a university address or a permanent home address. If you choose to register to vote at home but would like your ballot sent to your school address, you will need to apply for an absentee ballot. If your physical address differs from your mailing address you will need to ensure that both addresses are included in your registration. This includes students who live in a residence hall. You can check on the status of your Oregon registration here.
Registration cards postmarked by this date or submitted online no later than 11:59 pm are valid. Campus Election Engagement Project (CEEP) is a non-partisan project that helps America's colleges and universities get as many of their 20 million students as possible to register, volunteer in campaigns, educate themselves, and turn out at the polls. Focusing on administrators, faculty, and staff, and ways they can help engage students, CEEP worked with 500 schools in 2008 and hope to work with even more this round.
