The Center for Civic Engagement is in need of site leaders and volunteers to help run our 2018 MLK Day of Service that will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018. Check-in will take place in the MU 49 Horizon Room. Please complete this short form if you're interested in serving as a site leader or helping with set-up/check in! Thanks so much! Site leaders and volunteers for set-up/check in can be students, staff, or faculty. Projects will span various issue areas.
Site leaders responsibilities:
Be available for at least 3.5 hours on Saturday January 13th (times will be confirmed depending on which of our service projects site leads are assigned to, most projects will take place in the morning and return to campus around noon, some projects will run until mid-afternoon and have include a lunch break)
Be certified to drive 12 passenger vans and watch the video and take the online test through Motorpool

- Those who are not certified and do not wish to become certified to drive a Motorpool van may be able to lead an on-campus project or lead a group in walking to one of our community projects that takes place closer to campus.

- Site leaders must be willing to do ice breakers, team building with group, be a liaison with the service site, complete service tasks at service site, facilitate reflection, collect evaluation feedback from participants, return Motorpool van upon return to OSU, and return materials and feedback to CCE staff upon return to campus. Further, instruction and details will be provided to all volunteers who sign up to be site leaders.
Set up volunteers will help to hang signs and arrange tables as well as staffing our registration tables which includes greeting volunteers, scanning their IDs, and directing them where to find their site leaders and service project team. Set up and check-in volunteers must have completed FERPA training.
