JWL-0 Angela Ajootian Class Fee: FREE
This one-half hour class is REQUIRED for all returning members who are NOT registered in a jewelry class. Safety will be covered. You will learn how the jewelry studio is operated and will be informed of changes or updates to the studio or Craft Center policies. For Experienced jewelers only Pre-Registration Required.
Jewelry & Metalsmithing
Thursdays 6:00-8:30 Jan. 25 to Mar. 15
JWL-1 Angela Ajootian Class Fee: $65
Explore the ancient and satisfying world of metal crafting. This 8-week course covers basic techniques and steps to bring into more complex projects. The first half of the class will focus on metal cutting, forming and acetylene soldering skills; these skills will be followed by: stone setting, small item casting and end with enameling. Throughout we will discuss design aesthetic, art history, current trends and business ideas. All experience levels welcome; those with prior experience can work toward a more personally inspired direction. Metals used are copper, brass & bronze; students can purchase silver available from the Craft Center or provide their own.
Metalsmithing & Jewelry Creation with PMC Elements
Mondays 6:30-9 Jan. 22 to Mar. 12
JWL-2 Anna Russell Class Fee: $75
In this 8-week class, develop basic techniques associated with metalsmithing and create beautiful jewelry from copper, brass, bronze & silver. Learn to solder & adapt basic pottery skills & techniques to create innovative rings, earrings, chains and more from PMC. All experience levels welcome; those with prior experience can work toward a more personally inspired direction. The first 2 project materials are provided; please allow extra funds for jewelry supply purchases beyond start up materials. Students can purchase silver, PMC & other items from the Craft Center supply store or provide their own.
Creative Wire Jewelry
Wednesdays 6:30-9 Jan. 31 to Feb. 21
JWL-3 Anielis Raas Member Class Fee: $40
In the 4-week class learn how to create unique & beautiful sculptural earrings, pendants, a ring and/or a bracelet using the technique of wire manipulation. The first project materials are provided; please allow extra funds for jewelry supply purchases beyond start up materials. Students can purchase silver, beads, findings & other items from the Craft Center supply store or provide their own. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary.
Silver Sweetheart Ring
Saturday 12-4 Feb. 10
JWL-4 Angela Ajootian Member Class Fee: $ 36
Non-Member Class Fee: $48
Come to this 4hr workshop and learn how to make a handcrafted silver ring. No prior experience needed. We will cut, shape, solder, and polish a simple ring. Students with prior experience can use this class to make something more elaborate. All will come away with a beautiful gift. All supplies provided.
Sunday 1-4 Feb. 11
JWL- 5 Angela Ajootian Member Class Fee: $30/Non-Member Class Fee: $42
Students will learn how to cut beautiful shapes out of copper or bronze sheet and solder them in layers on a silver background during this fun and low stress workshop.. No prior metals experience required. . Limit 8 student. All supplies provide; however option to set a cabochon stone or work in silver also available, these will have an additional fee.
Artful Pendant Workshop
Saturday 12-4 Feb. 17

Students will learn how to sculpt Precious metal Clay into beautiful shapes with embellished textures to create a unique set of earrings that will enhance any face! A fun and low stress workshop. No prior metals experience required. Limit 8 students. All supplies provided; however option to set a cabochon stone will also be available for an additional fee.
