Pressing Ink Printmaking Explorations: Session 1

Just for the summer, we are breaking up our popular introductory printmaking class into two sessions. In the first session, learn relief printmaking and monotype. No experience required & suitable for any level - just bring your artistic curiosity! Initial class projects materials provided (plates, paper, ink & printing incidentals).
Pressing Ink Printmaking Explorations: Session 2
Wednesdays 6:00-8:30 August 8 – August 22

The second session of our popular printmaking class will center on drypoint and lithography. Printmaking is a medium with infinite possibilities; let’s put that Craft Center press to use! You will leave with your own, custom printed artwork and the knowledge to work on your own projects. No experience required & suitable for any level - just bring your artistic curiosity! Initial class projects materials provided (plates, paper, ink & printing incidentals).
Scientific Illustration and Drawing from Life
Tuesdays 6:00- 8:30 July 10 – August 21
PPP- 22 Susanne Ranseen Class Fee: $45
Learn drawing basics in this 6 -week course. Lessons on basic drawings, line quality, shading, composition, and drawing other techniques will build a strong foundation for beginners. The class will cover topics in illustration, pointillism, style, and careful observation. Materials will be provided for the first class. The suggested materials list will also be provided.
Plein Air Drawing Workshop NEW
Sunday 11-3:00 July 29

Join us for a walk around the beautiful OSU campus on a summer day. Focusing on field scientific illustration and drawing skills in a low pressure environment. We will draw animals, plants, or whatever subject crosses the student's path as we meander around OSU for 4 hours. The estimated walking distance is approximately a half mile. We can view animals in the veterinary sciences area, and botanical matter in the Memorial Union Quad. Students will need to bring water, a bag lunch, good walking shoes, and some drawing materials. The class will focus on in the field scientific illustration and drawing skills.
