Pressing Ink: Printmaking Explorations
Wednesdays 6:00-8:30 Apr. 18 to June 6
PPP- 20 Meghan Bury Class Fee: $70
Explore a wide variety of techniques in this 8-week introductory course under the guidance of an experienced printmaker & teacher. Each week you’ll play with something new: monotype, relief or drypoint. Printmaking is a medium with infinite possibilities; let’s put that Craft Center press to use! You will leave with your own, custom printed artwork and the knowledge to work on your own projects. No experience required & suitable for any level - just bring your artistic curiosity! Initial class projects materials provided (plates, paper, ink & printing incidentals). Please allow extra funds for additional paper & ink should you want to run larger editions.

Learn drawing basics in this 8-week course. Lessons on perspective, line quality, shading, composition, and drawing from observation will build a strong foundation for beginners. Some classes will take place outside, weather permitting. Materials will be provided for first class. Suggested materials list will also be provided.
Scientific Illustration and Drawing from Life NEW

Learn drawing basics in this 6 -week course. Lessons on basic drawings, line quality, shading, composition, and drawing other techniques will build a strong foundation for beginners. The class will cover topics in illustration, pointillism, style, and careful observation. Materials will be provided for the first class. The suggested materials list will also be provided.
Life Drawing Workshop Two sessions offered NEW

In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to draw the human form utilizing a live model. There will be a special emphasis on accurately depicting the subtleties of contours and muscle tone. Often a challenge…techniques for drawing hands and feet will also be covered. We suggest you bring a light snack and water. Weather permitting, we may journey outside, so dress appropriately. All materials provided.
