The CCE offers several awards for students, which are great resume builders! For all students year round, we offer the Student Spotlight, which highlights a student's civic engagement work. This could be direct service, philanthropy, advocacy, or some other form of civic engagement. In the spring term, the CCE also offers two awards for the Greek community: the Community Service of the Year Award and the Philanthropy of the Year Award. Learn more about these awards and how to apply below!

CCE Awards

The goal of the Center for Civic Engagement’s Student Spotlight is to seek out students who are heavily involved in our campus and Corvallis community. We are looking for students who take an active role in bettering our community through service, philanthropy, and advocacy.

Awardees are highlighted in the CCE newsletter. This is a great award to add to your resume!

Nomination Form

Every year the Center for Civic Engagement honors two Greek organizations at the Spring Greek Awards Banquet with the Community Service of the Year Award and the Philanthropy of the Year Award.

The Community Service of the Year Award is given on a yearly basis to the chapter that records the highest average civic engagement hours per member, allowing smaller chapters to compete with larger chapters. This award encourages direct service. Since this award is based on recorded direct community service hours, it is important for your chapter to record hours all year long.

Chapters must apply to be considered. All Greek organizations are eligible for this award.

Awards are due on May 5, 2019.
