Fall Community Dialogue - The Future of Higher Education: How should we prepare for the changing world of work?
Explore multiple perspectives on the purpose of higher education and the changing world of work. Open to the entire OSU and Corvallis community. Review the participant dialogue guide to familiarize yourself with the dialogue content and the three options that will be deliberating (Prepare Students for the Job Market, Educate for Leadership & Change, Build Strong Communities).
A professor from the College of Education will provide a mini-keynote on the changing landscape and roles of higher education.
Thursday, November 14, 2019, 6:00-8:00pm, MU Horizon Room 49. This event is dialogic in nature. As such, we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals. We ask that participants attend the full two hours.

Community Dialogues is a once-per-term series which seeks to cultivate connection and deep learning through exploration of critical and contentious issues. Utilizing the National Issues Forum Model we hope to engage students, faculty, staff, and community members in dialogue which:

Facilitators are the core of our program, and we are seeking students, staff, and faculty to join us in growing a culture of dialogue at Oregon State University. We welcome registrants of all experience and skill levels.
Our facilitators are selected and trained to sustain open and respectful dialogue and create spaces for individual, interpersonal, and systemic exploration – in a broad effort to encourage a culture of dialogue at OSU.
Through training and practice, we expect that our facilitators will demonstrate increased capacity to:
