Stained Glass Orientation

This class is REQUIRED for all new and returning members who are NOT registered in a stained glass class. Learn how the glass studio works and be informed of changes or updates to the studio. Pre-Registration Required. *
 
Kiln Formed Glass/Glass Fusing Orientation

Torchwork/Lampworking Orientation
Thursday 6-6:30                         September 27
GLA-3   Kristopher Perry          Class Fee: FREE
This class is REQUIRED for all returning torchwork members who are NOT registered in a torch class. Learn how the glass studio & open torch sessions work, which may include changes or updates in the studio area. Pre-registration Required. *
*Orientations are good for one academic year with continuous membership.
 
Beautiful Stained Glass
Tuesdays  6:30-9                                                        October 2 – November 20

Learn to cut glass, draft a pattern and solder using traditional copper foil methods. Equipment and tools are provided but students furnish glass and supplies; these are available for purchase at the Craft Center.

Colorful glass keepsakes to celebrate the holidays! Create beautiful ornaments. A fun one-day workshop. No glass experience necessary. Tools and glass provided by the Craft Center. Bring a snack.
 
Beginning Borosilicate Lampwork
Thursdays  6- 8:30              October 4 –  November 29
                                               (no class November 22)
GLA-37 Todd Weber           Class Fee: $55 plus $35 gas fee
Learn torch operation and safety procedures while making pendants, beads, marbles, sculpture, and more. Students will purchase their own glass; instructor will assist students in making selections in the first class.
 
Beginning Glass Fusing
Mondays  7-9:30                        October 1- November 19

                                                     (plus additional $40 for startup glass kit)
Learn cutting, grinding, fusing, and glass slumping. Glass cutting experience is recommended. Beginners will purchase a special glass kit with start- up materials.
 
Glass Fusing - Intermediate Techniques and Projects
Thursdays 7-9:30                                                      October 4 – November 15
GLA-31 Marsha Rathja & Deanna Peters             Class Fee: $60
Learn new fusing techniques! Prior glass fusing experience is REQUIRED. Beginning Glass Fusing will meet this requirement. Students will provide their own glass or purchase new glass from the Craft Center.
 
Beginning Soft Glass: Beads & More!    
Wednesdays 6-8:30            October 3 – November 14
GLA-38   Kelly Ensor           Class Fee: $ 80  (includes gas)
Learn to make beads, jewelry and/or elements for mixed media or fusing projects. Students will purchase coe-104 or coe-90 rods from the Craft Center supply store on the first night of class, with the assistance of the instructor. Wear cotton or natural fiber clothing and closed-toed shoes.
 
Flaming Desires: Torch Date Night Session 1

Learn some of the basic techniques used in modern soft-glass! All tools and supplies are provided. Wear natural fiber clothing and closed-toe shoes.
